If 1.3, you could overcome this limitation by downloading the Updater from the Apple site. Use steps b) to d) from here: http://www.ephpod.com/listserver-archives/4824.html Note there are different versions of the Updater there, but they refer to the language of the Updater, _not_ the language of the firmware. I tested the English, Spanish and Korean, and all have the same CRC. iPod!, uPod?
