Reading songs ratings?

So the 3rd-gen iPods allow you to set ratings on the songs. It doesn't seem to be stored in the ID3 tags, so it must be hiding in the database or something... I've been using the ratings system to mark any MP3s I need to deal with later - one star for duplicate songs or ones that are just plain bad, for example. Unfortunately, then I got home & discovered it was all in vain, since neither ephPod nor MusicMatch seem to display them. Does anyone know of software that will read them? Are there any plans for ephPod to include this?
