The Creative firewire ports never have seemed to work very well with iPods.
When I got my 1st iPod 14 months ago, I too had an Audigy card and
experienced the same sort of problems you are describing. I eventually
junked the card and went with an Adaptec Duo Connect card and I haven't had
any trouble since. I would suggest you spend $40 and pick up one of the
Belkin cards.

I have the write delay error and a whole mess of related (I think) errors. I
am using Win2k, SB Audigy 1394 (unibrain), the new 15GB iPod, and with
EphPod 2.60f/2.7a. Everytime I move an album (about 12 files, 6mb each), it
will crash. The error it says is "Write delay failed." So I turned down the
internal copying buffer size way down to 128 and had more success. However,
it'll eventually lag on a random mp3, and then crash.

It's strange because everything things like it's in place. The iPod comes up
as a drive on My Computer and it mounts properly. Could it be the Windows
iPod drivers? Or that I may need a dedicated firewire card (instead of
Audigy's)?

I just ordered Adaptec's card.. I'll try it soon. Any other suggestions?
