Actually, Microsoft took out a patent on the Windows Media File format
which disallows anyone from converting WMA to any other format,
including MP3. All part of that lovely "we own you" philosophy...

That's not to say that there's not programs out there that will do
it...for example, "dBpowerAMP Music Converter" is an excellent utility
for convert WMA to MP3 - except for the fact that it won't convert
DRM-protected files, which buymusic.com almost certainly uses.

Pretty much the only options you'll have for converting any
DRM-protected WMA files to MP3 or whatnot are:

A) Finding a piece of software that can do it (not likely at all)
B) Running a software or analogue loopback on your soundcard and
re-recording the tracks as you play them (painful, but useful if
desperate)
