Re: Gettin' the iPod Running

The new 40 gig iPods come with firmware 2.0.2 installed, and I don't think
that firmware is up on the Apple site yet. Would the current Restorer
install firmware 2.0.1?   I got my 40 gig iPod up and running by installing
everything from the CD, running through the initialization process and then
uninstalling everything.  Ephpod seems to be working just fine with the new
iPod.

Personally, I'd uninstall all the iPod software (including musicmatch and
the iPod service).  Sounds like that's the problem.

Windows can pick up on the drive by itself, and the iPod Restorer (you can
download it from http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/) will do what you
need to convert the iPod to a windows iPod.
