Nor Debian sid/experimental has issues of that kind. Had to update the 
libraries the source depended on but after that the compile and build 
processes run smoothly. I've prepared a test build and uploaded to 
mentors.debian.net. Have a look at it, if you're interested in the 
packaging settings.

I'm using the Debian experimental libgtk-3-dev (3.0.10) and it gave me 
no problems. But I've not completely tested it yet.
