PGSQL has benefits, but not for something simple like this, MySQL will run all over it all day. PGSQL benefits are mostly in multi threaded queries and very long complex queries, like seen in accounting and such. And I for one would love to see it in PHP and kick VHCS' butt! Having a detached front and backend would be convenient and make lots of ppl happier, but it would and could also create a HUGE security risk and for this type of project I wouldn't recommend it. --- TS http://southofheaven.org/ Chaos is the beginning and end, try dealing with the rest.
