POP3 and IMAP4 definitely work.

I Tried Eudora with SSL against POP3S with the above positions. It does not 
work. Perhaps Perdition does not crypt with POP3S and IMAP4S in default 
configuration , it only redirects and your idea to configure cyrus and 
perdition on different ports is good. I am trying it. My need would be to 
slowly force our 6000 pop3 users to pass to imap4s and at the same time to 
have imp or squirrelmail https against imap4.
