I think it's different. For us ispman has worked very well for many =

years. However, it started to show its age some time ago. Besides, the =

fact that its development ceased some years ago forced us to look for =

alternatives.

Ispconfig3 works very well, and the admin and customer interfaces are =

superior. However, they both do basically the same (ispconfig supports =

in addition setting up ftp, ssh accounts, and mysql db). Ispconfig keeps =

its data in a mysql db, where ispman does it in ldap. (I wish ispconfig3 =

could support other backends, such as postgres, or ldap as well. I don't =

like the idea of having postfix, apache depending on a frequently =

used/accessed service such as mysql). Ispconfig3 does a good job =

automagically configuring your software (email, web, amavisd-new, etc. =

services) so you can have a basic server configured in minutes.
> 1. can it support cyrus Imap ?
Ispconfig officially supports Courier. I believe some work is being done =

to support dovecot. We thought it was kind of a regression to go from =

cyrus to courier, but courier has been performing fine since then.

We are an ISP (a small one though) :)
