That work was completed by reverting the affected code in FTP classes 
https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=69485. I was hoping to 
hear back from the reporter whether they could try our nightly build 
with the changes, but I haven't heard back. I'll mark that as resolved 
for 1.10.16.

I don't have any other work going on currently.
