Hi Everyone,

Am hoping someone has already seen this behavior and has a solution.

I'm sending an email to James 3.1 from javamail using smtp, then retrieving that email using POP3. The body of the email contains this simple sentence:

Here's an example

When I retrieve the email from the POP3 service the body of the email reads this way:

Here?s an example

The apostrophe has been converted to a question mark. I've tried searching for this everywhere I can think of but so far can't get a hit. I've put just about everything in log4j.properties into DEBUG but still can't get a handle on why the character conversion is happening.

If anyone has seen this before and has a solution please post.

Thanks!

Pete Davis
