upgrade from james 2.2 to James 3

Hello James users,

Happy new year 2024 !!!
I have been using James 2.2.0 in production for years. I am new to
this product.   We upgraded to use Java 8 too. Can this James 2.2 work with
Java 11 too? Additionally,  could you please help in understanding, what
are the benefits of upgrading to James 3.0?
