fixed variables but slide is not working

Dear list,

I have fixed all the variables problem which I had with slide-tomcat bundle.
after running startup.sh  It reports  like

Using CATALINA_BASE:   /root/slide/jakarta-slide-2.1-tomcat-5.0.28
Using CATALINA_HOME:   /root/slide/jakarta-slide-2.1-tomcat-5.0.28
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /root/slide/jakarta-slide-2.1-tomcat-5.0.28/temp
Using JAVA_HOME:       /usr/lib/jvm/java
=================================

but there is no open port as 8080. I have checked with nmap.
how can I solve this problem ? kindly help. thanks in advanced.
