Re: JAVA_HOME enviroment variable

I assume your jdk installation is located in the directory  /usr/local/JDK1_5_02. If not substitute that for your own installation  dir
  
  export JAVA_HOME=/usr/local/JDK1_5_02
  export PATH=$PATH:${JAVA_HOME}/bin
  
  copy and paste or type this two commands on your shell window and hit enter key
  
  Alternatively
  Copy and paste the command in your /etc/profile
  save and close
  
  One of this two stuffs should work for you
