I see it now. That's pretty obvious in the logs once I take a clearer 
look. You shouldn't have had to append a letter out in front of the 
version anyway. I double checked Anthill's behavior and if the version 
starts with a digit it will append a 'v' itself.

I filed and resolved a bug 
(http://bugs.urbancode.com/secure/ViewIssue.jspa?key=ANTHILLOS-246)  and 
future versions of Anthill will recognize the space and replace it with 
an underscore.
