 Hello All,

did you ever look at NetRexx for easier Java programming?
or will we stuck with old C-like syntax and sematics forever??
 kind regards. Tom.

Subject: [Beanshell-users] Some thoughts on future directions for BeanShell

Hi everybody,

I have some thoughts I wanted to share, and get feedback on.

- I'll mostly be contributing bug fixes and performance enhancements.

- Is JDK 1.1 compatibility still important? I think it could simplify
the code a little to not have to maintain it.

- I don't want BeanShell to become too big or complex; I'd prefer it to
stick to Java syntax and sematics as closely as possible.

- I'd like to merge a few changes from the jEdit BeanShell; I'll post
patches tomorrow for review.
