Official support by Sun would be obviously good. But wouldn't standartization prevent fast changes and improvements that we enjoy now ?

Langauage...

I am very pleased to announce that we have a review ballot in
progress for JSR-274, to standardize BeanShell through the Java
Community Process!

   http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=274

The goal of the JSR is to standardize the language and provide the RI
and TCK necessary to allow it to be bundled with a future release of
the J2SE.

Stay tuned for more details!

Pat
