Is there a way to turn this off? The cruisecontrol log has pages of this exception.

Everything seems to work normally. The dashboard works fine. My tests running fine.

It's just odd that I see this with 2.8.2 more often (almost always) compared CC 2.7.2. Below is the stacktrace. Could it be the CPU is too busy with running tests so the background socket timeout?

What is it trying to do anyway?

So that would be a different issue then. CC-766 was a bug where not having a modificationset would cause this error message.
Does the dashboard otherwise work?  No stack
 traces?

Do you have the same circumstances?  Are you using a project without a modification set?
And are you using the binary distribution or the source distribution?

Hi all,

I've just upgraded to 2.8.2 from 2.7.2, using the same config.xml as I did for 2.7.2, I got a lot of these in cruisecontrol.log

2009-03-31 02:41:48,410 [Timer-6  ] WARN  BuildLoopStatusReportTask - Failed to reach dashboard instance : http://localhost:8080/dashboard/buildloop/listener

, either the dashboard has not started up or there is a network problem.java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out

Jira shows this to be an old problem that was fixed http://jira.public.thoughtworks.org/browse/CC-766

I'm not sure why I'm still seeing it?
