Dashboard: How to customize, How to trigger own script at the server by dasboard button click

Hello everyone,
We are trying to customize cruise control. What we trying achieve is
to add custom button on web dashboard, on the page with information
about finished build. Mentioned button should be possible trigger only
on the page with information about successful project. That button
should trigger own (optionally in some config .xml specified) script
(python script). That script should have passed parameters with
information about selected project name, artifacts directory and build
log file path. We want to use the script for controlled successful
build submission. We want to have possibility to trigger the
submission from cruise control dashboard. In general we are trying to
add some "triggering control" on the dashboard and by using of that
control to run specified script on demand.

My questions:
1. Is there any way how to trigger own script from web dashboard
without modifying and rebuilding cruise control project from sources
2. What is to easiest way how to add own button to web dashboard and
trigger own script (process in general - bat, sh, py, pl, etc)
3. Is there any good source of documentation for mentioned troubles -
I mean modification cruise control dashboard to trigger own script -
("sources" is not answer for me for now ;-)
