Subject: [Cruisecontrol-user] Dashboard Deprecated?
To: [email protected]

Hi,

Is dashboard development still active, or has the project been deprecated?
Looking here <http://cruisecontrol.sourceforge.net/dashboard.html>, it says
at least some of the api is being replaced.

There seems to be very little a user can do to make any changes to it. :(

Well, no, yes, no....

Once upon a time, there was a dedicated team developing Dashboard.
That is no longer the case, so it's up the us - the community to provide
any further development. The referenced "replacement" api never
materialized.

Recently some patches were committed to fix some problems with the
existing dashboard widget api (subtabs). Because no replacement for the
widget API has been proposed yet, and the community is producing patches
to the existing API, I would not consider that API deprecated anymore.
(The latest version of the source in svn removes the deprecation
annotations).

So in short, if you want to work with the widget API, be sure to fetch
the latest source from svn, and have at it! If you find any problems and
fix them, please do submit patches via Jira and they can be committed.

Clear as mud? ;)

Dan
