I've seen a work-around for these hangs where the output from the execute is redirected to nul. Example: 'some-script-to-execute' 1>nul Regards, Nathan Carbino ________________________________________________ Senior Release Engineer Tel: 415-683-2378 GuardianEdge Technologies Inc. ________________________________ From: Gavin Dodd [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, January 20, 2010 5:18 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [Cruisecontrol-user] publisher/execute hangs after some amount ofstdout Hi, I've been setting up CruiseControl for the first time and have been getting hangs when using the cruisecontrol/project/publishers/execute element. It seems to be related to the amount of output from whatever command I call. I deduced this by changing a script that was causing a hang to echo less output and the problem went away. Redirecting the output to a file does not fix the problem. This happens in 2.8.2 and 2.8.3 with JDKs 6, 5 and 1.4. I'm running on Windows XP. Is this a known problem? Does anyone else have the execute tag working reliably?
