2.8.3 install off default path gives misconfigured service

Hello,
i installed from cruisecontrol-2.8.3.exe to a destination on a d: 
\someOtherDir path.
Things progressed until i was invited to start the service from the  
win services utility.
That step failed.
Inspection revealed that the service was configured to find the  
installation at the default path.

Workaround:
ignore the option and do install to the default path.

Should i write a ticket? Should i learn something, and if so, what?
