Hi,

In my system I have following package install for cruisecontrol

OS - CentOS 5.5

Php - php5.3.6 (source distribution)

Mysql - mysql-5.0.77 (installed with yum)

Apache - httpd-2.2.3 (installed with yum)

Jdk - java version "1.6.0_25" (download java_ee_sdk-6u2-jdk-linux.sh
from sun java)

Ant -ant-1.8.0 (Apache Ant version 1.8.0 bin file)

Junit -junit-3.8.2-3jpp.1 (junit install with yum)

Cruisecontrol - cruisecontrol-2.7.1 (src, using src file b/c bin files
only work with sample file connectfour as it is mention in site as -- This
Binary Distribution is a trimmed down version of the Source Distribution. It
is fully functional and intended to work with a sample project - the game
Connect Four - "out of the box". Site :

Following is steps I did to build ant with cruisecontrol

I used latest version (2.8.4) cruise control but it give error when build
ant in INSTALL_DIR/main . just run 'ant' command in INSTALL_DIR/main it give
error

Following the last lines with build failed while building ant with cruise
control

jsp-precompile:

    [mkdir] Created dir:
/opt/cruisecontrol-2.8.4/reporting/jsp/target/jsp-precompile/exploded-war

    [unzip] Expanding:
/opt/cruisecontrol-2.8.4/reporting/jsp/dist/cruisecontrol.war into
/opt/cruisecontrol-2.8.4/reporting/jsp/target/jsp-precompile/exploded-war

    [mkdir] Created dir:
/opt/cruisecontrol-2.8.4/reporting/jsp/target/jsp-precompile/src

BUILD FAILED

/opt/cruisecontrol-2.8.4/build.xml:39: The following error occurred while
executing this line:

/opt/cruisecontrol-2.8.4/reporting/jsp/build.xml:206: jasper2 doesn't
support the "listerrors" attribute

Moving lower version and building cruisecontrol

1. Then I moved to lower version 2.7.1 , ant successfully build with
cruisecontrol in INSTALL_DIR/main,

Following the last lines with build failed while building ant with cruise
control

jar:

      [jar] Building jar: /opt/cc/main/dist/cruisecontrol.jar

      [jar] Building jar: /opt/cc/main/dist/cruisecontrol-launcher.jar

      [jar] Building jar:
/opt/cc/main/dist/cruisecontrol-antprogresslogger.jar

all:

clean-all:

BUILD SUCCESSFUL

Total time: 55 seconds

2. After this build ant with cruisecontrol in
INSTALL_DIR/reporting/jsp/ it give error

While building I give following input as it asked for input path for
directory

-set.log.dir:

[input] WARNING! Property user.log.dir not set! Please enter the
absolute path to the CruiseControl logs directory:

/var/logs/cruisecontrol/

-set.status.file:

[input] WARNING! Property user.build.status.file not set! Please enter
the name of the current build status file:

/opt/cc/reporting/jsp/webcontent/WEB-INF/web.xml

-set.artifacts.dir:

[input] WARNING! Property cruise.build.artifacts.dir not set! Please
enter the absolute path to the directory where additional build artifacts
are stored:

/opt/cc/reporting/dashboard/test/data/arbitrary_artifacts/artifacts/

After this it show following build message

jsp-precompile:

    [mkdir] Created dir:
/opt/cc/reporting/jsp/target/jsp-precompile/exploded-war

    [unzip] Expanding: /opt/cc/reporting/jsp/dist/cruisecontrol.war into
/opt/cc/reporting/jsp/target/jsp-precompile/exploded-war

    [mkdir] Created dir: /opt/cc/reporting/jsp/target/jsp-precompile/src

BUILD FAILED

/opt/cc/reporting/jsp/build.xml:236: jasper2 doesn't support the
"listerrors" attribute

Then I disable the line of listerrors in file jsp/build.xml as commenting
following lines

<jasper2 compile="true" outputdir="${basedir}/target/jsp-precompile/src"

                listerrors="false" validatexml="true" verbose="2"

                 uriroot="${basedir}/target/jsp-precompile/exploded-war"/>

again I build with command "ant"

with same input as above while building.

Following the last lines with build failed while building ant with cruise
control

jsp-precompile:

    [mkdir] Created dir:
/opt/cc/reporting/jsp/target/jsp-precompile/exploded-war

    [unzip] Expanding: /opt/cc/reporting/jsp/dist/cruisecontrol.war into
/opt/cc/reporting/jsp/target/jsp-precompile/exploded-war

    [mkdir] Created dir: /opt/cc/reporting/jsp/target/jsp-precompile/src

all:

clean-all:

BUILD SUCCESSFUL

Total time: 1 minute 4 seconds

3. Now build ant in INSTALL_DIR/reporting/dashboard directory

Build fail with following last lines message

-unit-tests:

    [mkdir] Created dir: /opt/cc/reporting/dashboard/target/reports

artifactNames.size());"  of class "testShouldGetArtifactsInSubDirectories"
in file
test/unit/net/sourceforge/cruisecontrol/dashboard/BuildDetailTest.java
