Warm Greetings to you and Thanks for your quick response.
I am using src distribution because in site it is written as follows
This Binary Distribution is a trimmed down version of the Source
Distribution. It is fully functional and intended to work with a sample
project - the game Connect Four - "out of the box".
I think with this quote means binary distribution work only with sample
project "connect four" with fully functional.So, I build cruisecontrol with
src distribution
Sorry to make you not clear with my previous mail.
Now I build cruisecontrol src distribution latest version 2.8.4 and other
supporting tools for cruisecontrol is same as before that I mention in
previous mail.
1. Build in main
BUILD SUCCESSFUL
2. Build in reporting/jsp
While building in reporting/jsp, I set following input for log, build status
file and artifacts
-set.log.dir:
[input] WARNING! Property user.log.dir not set! Please enter the

/var/log/cruisecontrol

Please enter the absolute path to the directory where additional build
artifacts are stored:
/opt/cruisecontrol-2.8.4/artifacts
Build in reporting/jsp it give following Build Failed error
jsp-precompile:
[mkdir] Created dir:
/opt/cruisecontrol-2.8.4/reporting/jsp/target/jsp-precompile/exploded-war
[unzip] Expanding:
/opt/cruisecontrol-2.8.4/reporting/jsp/dist/cruisecontrol.war into
/opt/cruisecontrol-2.8.4/reporting/jsp/target/jsp-precompile/exploded-war
[mkdir] Created dir:
/opt/cruisecontrol-2.8.4/reporting/jsp/target/jsp-precompile/src
BUILD FAILED
/opt/cruisecontrol-2.8.4/reporting/jsp/build.xml:206: jasper2 doesn't
support the "listerrors" attribute
Then I disable the following block in build.xml file

What would be the cause of error in reporting/jsp. Is is my way is correct
to remove error while build in reporting/jsp i.e disabling the portion of
jasper2 in build.xml and make BUILD SUCCESSFUL?
Also what would be cause of error "after BUILD SUCCESSFUL in repoting/jsp"
in reporting/dashboard as report. And wish to have clear step to resolve the
error.

using CruiseControl 2.8.4 on Ubuntu linux and didn't have any problems.
I re-read your email and it is not clear to me what the exact errors
where: You mention an error building 'main', yet the error you post
comes from 'reporting/jsp'.
Is it possible you did not build 'main' first? The order is important,
you must build 'main' before building 'reporting/jsp' or
'reporting/dashboard'.
