Hi, I'm looking to setup a CC server and would like to have 32 projects, all capable of running in parallel. Each project needs to do a local modification check (CVS) and remotely execute the build using Ant. I've already discovered that the CC process needs 2GB of memory. What about processors? I see the load jumping up as high as about 15 but I've also been noticing that projects don't seem to be running as often as they should be, lots of messages about timeouts in the logs, and a sluggish dashboard. It is running on a virtual machine under Solaris with 2 processors and 4GB of RAM. I was thinking of splitting the projects up onto multiple instances but would also be open to finding a machine with more processors (and memory, though it doesn't seem to help). What kinds of machines are the rest of you using?
