I have just begun to look at questions like the below.  The Persistence
Manager will follow the rules set by the container if they share the same
pool.  It appears it can integrate with EJB nicely and have heard of some
cases and examples but have not done a real world example as of yet.  The
rules set up may be different if integrating with J2EE container as opposed
to the Persistence Manager being stand alone but it appears that it
accommodates both from what I have learned so far.  Hopefully I'll have done
a real test within the next few months to be able to speak better on it.

	Hi,
		need a bit of clarity on this.
		From what I understand from the JDO spec, the Persistance
Manager instance can request a connection from the connection pool and 
		release it back after serving a request
		Usually, its the container which takes care of this ..right?
		Does it mean that the persistance manager can take up part
of the container's role?

		And if the PersistantManager provides services for
transaction management and life cycle management, isn't it true that the
container itself relegated to the 		role of a security manager?
