The answer is that a) we need to make sure XMLC can compile WML / XHTML documents...I think the answer is yes on WML, and I'm not sure on the XHTML. We can ping the XMLC list to verify on this b) we then need to modify Barracuda to create WML / XHTML specific renderers...this is really quite straightforward, and I'd be happy to work with someone on doing it. The issue is simply that I don't have the time to do all the coding/testing myself...but I could easily help someone throught that process. And with regards to Diez's comment...yes, I think it would be good to have support for this in the next major release - the biggest thing we need here is someone who knows WML / XHTML and can take the time to write the renderers and verify the output, and perhaps build a sample for the tutorial. That will be a problem. We either need to make the components more generic or provide components for XHTML and WML...and whatever other ML there is out there that we need to support. I'm correct here, right Christian? I remember a conversation where you said it wouldn't be much of an effort to crank out XHTML-specific components. Would the effort be similar for WML-specific components? Any status on that? I think we should have XHTML and WML component support for the next release. What do you think?
