Connecting with Palm via a 6310 GPRS connection

Hi all,
I have written an  app with J2me  that talks ksoap to a windows 2000 server
and tested it with the Palm emulator and it works.
When I try connecting a real palm via a nokia 6310 over GRPS using the
infrared port on the palm and phone, the  SQL server receives  the data  and
transmitts it back but the palm can not receive it.
I have tried  the stockMidlet (an example program that comes with J2ME), and
it works with this setup.

Does any one have any suggestions on  where I can start to trouble shoot
this problem ?
