Extend SOAPToolAgent

Hi to all, I want to extend SOAPToolAgent so that it can support XmlSchema type as described in the XPDL specifications. Can anybody give me some help or suggestion? I'm studying the SOAPToolAgent.java class, and I've realized that I should modify getParamData method in order to serialize my Xml Schema variables (using classes of javax.xml.rpc.encoding package). But how I can do this effectively? Which kind of IT knowledge I will need? Apart of SOAPToolAgent.java class, will I need to modify other classes in order to achieve my goal (Xml Schema type support)? Thanks in advance.
