This is a good point (I think!!). See "Executing ToolAgent on the client Is there a way to execute a ToolAgent in the Client-VM? " here: http://shark.objectweb.org/doc/1.1/Shark/faq.html#d0e323 Also, there is a note about what combinations are allowed with tool agents for start and finish modes. So you may want to revise what i said in my earlier note..:) João Nelas <[email protected]> 08/08/2005 10:03 AM Please respond to [email protected] To <[email protected]> cc Subject {Spam?} RE: {Spam?} [shark] RuntimeApplicationToolAgent: Aplication not vislible Hi! I'm not really sure of what i'm going to say, but can't it be that, by accessing the engine by corba, windows doesn't realize that notepad should be started in your user session? João From: Hannes Biribauer [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: segunda-feira, 8 de Agosto de 2005 14:57 To: [email protected] Subject: RE: {Spam?} [shark] RuntimeApplicationToolAgent: Aplication not vislible o.k, will try this next. meanwhile a colleague helped me to reproduce the problem. his result: when the admin application is started directly (runSA.bat, not accessing the engine via corba) it works => notepad-window is displayed. if the engine is accessed via corba (runA.bat), the notepad application window is not displayed. regards -hannes From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Montag, 08. Put another activity right after your notepad activity, get that to have manual mode and maybe in the admin's "swimlane" and try to instantiate it and see what happens.. Geeta "Hannes Biribauer" <[email protected]> 08/08/2005 05:12 AM Please respond to [email protected] To <[email protected]> cc Subject {Spam?} [shark] RuntimeApplicationToolAgent: Aplication not vislible hi, I created a simple process with 1 step - this step is mapped to the RuntimApplicationToolAgent. Parctipiant Type is "System", startmode is "automatic". After Uploading the xpdl to the repository I create an instance of the process with shark's admin application. (for testing) After instanciating I see "notepad.exe" in the windows task manager, but notepad is not displayed. The number of active processes is "0". (in process instanciation management tab) I think this is, because the step starts autmatically, so I don't need to start the process in process monitor tab. But why is no "notepad window" displayed? Application mapping uses RuntimAppliationToolAgent, application name: notepad.exe, mode: 1 When I instanciate the process 3 times, there are 3 "notepad.exe" in task manager, but still no notepad window displayed. I'm using Shark Version is 1.1 Any advice? thx -hannes -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. -- You receive this message as a subscriber of the [email protected] mailing list.
