eob and merlin

Hello again,

Any words of advice if I want to port eob to merlin (instead of pheonix)?  I'm
not very familiar with eob internals yet, so I don't know how easy it would be.
 Just wondering:

  - if anyone's already done it 
  - if there are going to be any obvious pitfalls
  - how crazy this idea sounds
