Hello, We are trying to update the “jgroups-wireshark-plugin” for JGroups-3.3.0.Final. To validate the plugin developpement, we test it on samples. Actually, we have a problem. We have made a sample that “force” the JGroups retansmission process. In wireshark, we see messages typed “retransmit resquest” (wireshark filter "jgroups.nakackheader.msgtype == 2" for “XMIT_REQ”). But *we never see any message typed “retransmit response”* (wireshark filter "jgroups.nakackheader.msgtype == 3" for “XMIT_RSP”). It seems that in our case, the message “retransmit response” are typed “regular msg” (msg header type “MSG=1”). We used the “NAKACK2” protocol, with “NAKACK2.use_mcast_xmit=true” (default value). The “ NakAckHeader2” types are : “MSG=1” for regular msg ; “XMIT_REQ=2” for retransmit request ; and “XMIT_RSP=3” for retransmit response (contains one or more messages). In the methode “NAKACK2.sendXmitRsp(Address dest, Message msg)” : - if(use_mcast_xmit) : simply send the original multicast message -> msg header type “MSG=1”. - else, copy the original msg, change type from “MSG” to “XMIT_RSP”, and send it -> msg header type “XMIT_RSP=3”. Unfortunately, we are in the case where the msg header type is “MSG=1” in message for “retransmit response”. Is there an other field in the message, indicating that is it a “retransmit response” ? Thank you for your help.
