it has all been checked in, you are free to add whatever properties you wish. All fields in the user object are optional now except for username (getName()), email (getEmail()), and creationDate (getCreationDate()).

Description:
We want administrators to be able to define extra properties that are created on all users.  This is useful because all sites have a different need, so a site devoted to baseball may want to store a batting average.  Jive allows something similar.
