all done. We now have a FilterManager that loads a filters from a handy dandy xml file. We now store config properties and the filter config in a conf directory. You now need to set jlcpHome in web.xml to the conf directory of your distribution. You can also copy the files from the conf directory to your own directory and point jlcpHome to that directory.

Perhaps not completely ready by 0.2.0, but it would be nice to be able to define a set of filters for a forum that are executed for each message when that message is viewed. This is something that Jive has that I think is exteremly useful. It allows an easy way to replace standard text emoticons with images, replace bad words, wrap long lines, and link http://whatever.com into an HTML link.
