With something like this the avatars should be totally replaceable + added to easily.  We can likely store them in www/modules/user/avatars and let users drop in their own through uploading (i guess).  Does anyone know of a good default set for us to use?  Also, anyone wanna volunteer to do this?  Its relatively painless :)
