Hello all. I'm interested in getting more involved with JContainer, but have some questions about the scope and purpose: " JContainer.org aims to become the first place Java programmers look for information on component-oriented and container-driven development. " To get right down to it, at one point I had hoped this is what Apache Avalon would be, but I've changed my mind in that respect. I'm still heavily involved in Avalon and plan to remain so, but I also want to be involved in the larger COP/IoC community and work on a project with a large scope -- to be *the* place for COP/IoC development, tutorials, information, news, etc. Right now JContainer seems mostly focused on DNA/Loom and I've seen some Spice traffic here too. My original impression of JContainer was that is was to be the container equivalent to OSCOM (http://oscom.org/), at least within the java field of things. I would like to see news, tutorials, comparisons, articles, white papers and so on. Somewhere that one could get a glimpse of all the related projects and the latest ideas. Perhaps that is not the scope of JContainer and if not then perhaps I'll start up something on my own. I'm not even sure if such a project/site would work, but I'm interested in it. Is this the right place? Thoughts? --- jaaron <http://jadetower.org>
