At one point I was hoping there would be something like a 
"containers.apache.org" top level project, but even if that happens I 
feel it's a long ways off and there's a need for something like 
jcontainer now.

As for the difference between Codehaus and Apache, I can certainly 
respect that.  I've been very interested in Codehaus since it started 
and wanted to be better involved in both communities.  As long as 
there's no problem that I'll still be hacking away at Avalon, I think I 
can prosper quite well. :)

I'd like to start with some new documentation first so that there's more 
to show other projects and individuals.  I have some material and ideas 
I can donate.  Confluence seems like a good tool to start with since 
we'll want some sort of wiki/CMS to work with.

Also, I'm getting married in a week, so this month I'll be a little 
busy, but I wanted to get the ball rolling now.
