Hi all, I am building JikesRVM with perfevent configuration. It used to work, but today when I rebuilt it, it shows error as following. build-bootloader: [exec] /usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.8/../../../libpfm.so when searching for -lpfm [exec] /usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.8/../../../libpfm.a when searching for -lpfm [exec] /usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible //usr/lib/libpfm.so when searching for -lpfm [exec] /usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible //usr/lib/libpfm.a when searching for -lpfm [exec] /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lpfm [exec] collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status BUILD FAILED .../build.xml:1834: The following error occurred while executing this line: .../build.xml:1839: exec returned: 1 It works if no perfevent configuration. I had the problem building perfevent before, but it was solved by changing the linking order which Erik updated later. The platform is, Ubuntu Linux 3.13.0, JikesRVM 10762-revision, libpfm-4.4.0, gcc-4.8.2, g++-4.8.2. Could you give me some help on this? Thanks!
