You can use [JIRA Workflow Toolbox|https://plugins.atlassian.com/plugin/details/29496] to copy field value to another field, including Cascading Select in the source side of the assignment operation. You can two modules for doing this: - "Copy parsed text" module like in the [example|https://plugins.atlassian.com/server/1.0/screenshot/fetch/29675]. This module can be used to copy texts composed of string literals and custom fields values in any order, and of course to copy the value of a single custom field to a text custom field. It also works with special fields like "Summary", "Description", etc, and with Parents issue custom fields in case of subtasks. - "Copy a cascading select custom field to a simple text custom field" module I hope it will be useful for you.
