$page.path and $page.Path are two different things.  Try the $page.Path 
and see if that fixes the problem.  As to $page evaluating to 
${data.Screen}.vm, I have no idea where that is coming from.  It looks 
suspiciously like Turbine code.  Are you working with Turbine as well or 
have you in the past?
