creating RPM files

Hi there,

I read on the Roadmap, that you are only able to create a RPM file with 
Release 1.0 which will come in the future.
Is that still correct? And if so, what's the status? When do you guys 
think you are at a point to release that feature.
I would like to create RPMs from ant on non RPM based systems, even on 
non *nix systems.
