Claudia, You just need to drop a couple ceryle-wikiutil jars into your JSPWiki lib. Ceryle is a separate thing that embeds JSPWiki inside of it. But the functions and features that Ceryle adds to JSPWiki are done as plain-vanilla JSPWiki plugins. Murray quite nicely does this so we can all benefit from Ceryles work. I honestly haven't had time to look at any of this, I glanced at the Tag related code that Murray sent me, but nothing more. He can get you a distro if it's not downloadable from his Ceryle wiki site. Hi Murray: you wrote: >I'll send the distro along to Claudia as promised, if there's anyone >else who'd like to test this -- promising feedback -- just let me know. Did I miss something? I never recieved the distro...Do I need to install cvs? It took me a while to understand the discussion between you and John cause I kept hoping that the available core pluggins could be somehow tweaked to do what I need...No such luck.. Questions: >I'm going to submit a patch soon for a new page rename event so that >page renames will register with the TagManager. 1. Is this done/finished?? Currently I rename pages from the hard disk to avoid the exceptions being thrown when I use the rename button. >The only change on the administrator's part will be to replace the tag >jar file with a new one, and add the assertions jar file. >Everything will still work the same but behind the scenes the wiki will >be maintaining a Topic Map of its relationships. 2.Do I need to be working from Ceryle or does this apply to JSPwiki admins as well? IOW, I assume that CeryleWiki, builds on Jspwiki (apologies for not knowing the boundries)...but if we are adding jar files I assume that a recompilation of JSPwiki would be needed right? >>next steps.... Unfortunately for some users wiki markup seems geeky so we can't expect them to remember to TAG their pages. Perhaps, you can give them the option of adding them to a topic map before the page is created...I have concluded that I need someway to TAG my jspwiki pages. But unless it is drop dead easy for users to TAG their pages my guess is that they won't. >I'm also willing (time permitting) to help anyone who wants to write a tag-related plugin that uses the TagManager. Murray, this makes me think that my choices if I want - a Tag plugin (for setting one or more tags on a page) and a - HasTagOf plugin (for querying tags). is to either switch to Ceryle or to create my own pluggin for jspwiki or is the TagManager a part of Jspwiki? Sorry to be this confused. :-( Claudia On 8/13/07, Murray Altheim <[email protected]> wrote: > > Volkar, John M. wrote: > > Murray, > > Most excellent... > > > > When I get the distro I'll see about making Query and Tag play nice > > together; It's not nice to rape code like that, I'm sure there is > > something cleaner that we can do...
