[JXTA discuss] Can I build peers with Java applications already developed

Hello, I ‘m new in JXTA Technology. I would like to know if I can apply this technology in a Java project already developed. This project is a middleware application that takes requests from clients (web client) and processes them to give the appropriate answer. This middle ware embraces all the logic and interacts directly with a database (Mysql) . What I would like to do is to install several middlewares on different machines, each one would be an independent application and will have its own database, but I want to connect all the middlewares as peers, in order to share services and information. For example: if a client makes a request to the middleware assign to it, and the service or the information requested is not addressable, the middleware would ask others middlewares to accept the request.

 

Is possible to do this with JXTA?
