I was about to head out, I can't try it here.  But, I am pretty certain 
that app-hoj runs.

Here's what I would suggest:

- Look in both the tomcat logs and the WEB-INF/keel/server/log for clues
- Look in WEB-INF/keel/server/conf/merged.config and see if hoj.hello 
configuration was indeed included and merged. 

This sounds like either the meta-data in the model  has a typo, or 
somehow the configuration did not get copied over....my remote control 
guess :-)
