Hi cybersamurai,

I am only working on linux and windows, so I am not
very acquainted with mac issues. The .sh script may
not work on mac. So what I would advise you is to put
everything in your java ide, set up the classpath
correctly by adding all the jar and the
source/compiled classes, and launch it (by the way,
don't forget to add the xul root directory as a
parameter to the JVM on startup). That way it will
also be possible for you to go through debug for a
better understanding.

I seldom work with startup script in fact, I think it
is too error prone. I launch either in Eclipse IDE, or
in webstart environement.

The problem with webstart and file:// protocol is the
base url in the jnlp file. I think the only way to
solve this would be to ship the example as a war file
for a tomcat deployement and use the http://
protocol...

Good luck

Denis
