Greetings, In the beginning, the Java gang of four left sun, started Marimba, and created Bongo. Java's first GUI development platform. I am one of their apostles working with the original code base because it has allowed me to create great GUIs since that point in time. My version, a bit bigger, is called Conga. The Builder reads/writes GUI specification files. It has a very nice persistence model for objects, for the state of a GUI, for any type which implements a certain interface, the PropertyObject interface. The persistence state can be materialized and scanned as text. So, it seems that it would not be hard to write a transform for XUL. I am, to be blunt, a newbie to XUL and have a full time job. Is there anyone in the luxor community who would like to help out on this project? This seems like it would be a great luxor validation. Conga exploits the richness of the Java graphics programming model but does not try to be everything to everyone like Swing.
