Forgive my ignorance, but why do I need a full-blown browser to do what I want to do?

Basically, what I want to do is to create a thin client (in a client-server environment) in which the screens are sent dynamically from the server to the client so users don't have to wait forever for the initial download (like with Java Applet) - also, this way, only the Objects the user needs will be downloaded to the user when it is needed.  And, it'll make maintaining the GUI easy because I don't have to release a new client app everytime there's a change to the GUI.

So, I thought something like Luxor will be perfect (because I don't want to be tied to Mozilla/netscape).
