thanx a lot for your reply, first of all would like to clarify that i am
not a newbie,
have been working on servlets, jsp and beans for 2 years now,
the mcv pattern that i was implementing (which i think is wrong) was
connecting to the
database with servlets,

what brought me to this mailing list is that i read great reviews about
your
training course in the struts mailing list and am very keen to attend the
same
(but stay in india and may be some day you would organize courses here too)

now , i have tried out DAO, could you please tell me some on-line links
where
i can get some info about the same.
also you were talking of  javabean for data.The Javabean should have a DAO.
The DAO talk to and connect  db, and does the update.
could u send me a war file where this kind of pattern is done so that
i learn about the same.
