No wonder that the same thing happened when the 3.4 development passed the milestone 3 last week. But anyway the milestone build will come soon: http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=310814&listName=nbusers Will it be worth of downloading? I thing the answer is, yes. Why? There were many features planed for the milestone 3 and most of them made it into the build. Some of them are: Enabled Drag and Drop in the Explorer tree: http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=309429&listName=nbui Enabled Drag and Drop of Windows. Maximized MDI frame: http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=309187&listName=nbui Automatic update of parser databases: http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=310001&listName=nbui and more... * Contributions But even if you only use the final releases NetBeans will please you with the 3.3.2 bug fix release soon. It will contain 120 bug fixes. http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=309529&listName=nbdev Good news for people running NetBeans on the OpenVMS operating system. There is new module where containing the OpenVMS support classes: http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=302225&listName=nbdev Operating systems are not the only thing you can port NetBeans to. Languages are the other. There is a chance for NetBeans in Russian. http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=309575&listName=nbdev The QA team made the results of continuous testing available on the NetBeans website. http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=308777&listName=nbdev * Other topics from discussions Having dependencies checked when invoking compile in the IDE is a nice thing. If you are interested check Svata's proposal: http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=309399&listName=nbdev Would you prefer having Windows Look&Feel as default. (Don't panic, on the Windows platform only, of course) http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=310020&listName=nbui The build size is growing do we need schema2beans? http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=310400&listName=nbdev Well, maybe there is another solution, maybe Yarda is right, maybe we just need to use AutoUpdate more extensively. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This issue of NetBeans Weekly News was brought to you by Petr Hrebejk.
