The problem of finding editors for the NetBeans Weekly Newsletter is

Are you interested in Subversion VCS? There is a development of
Subversion profile in progress for the Generic VCS system in the 
IDE. And its experimental version is available:

Are you curious what all those icons displayed along filenames in 
the Explorer mean? Just go to Help/Contents and search for "Node 
Icons in the Explorer".

If the IDE can't start due to a broken filesystem or a broken 
project settings, you just need to delete the file 
<userdir>/system/project.last and the default project starts. Or you
delete the filesystem from the project folder. More details here:
